Chunk O' Cheese Meatloaf

Print

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 cup minced parsley
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped (optional)
3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup milk
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cups cubed cheddar cheese or shredded cheese

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in large bowl.  Bake in a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan at 350 F for 1 - 1 1/4 hours.  Pour off liquid.  Cool slightly before cutting.

Note:
I use mild cheddar since I am not a fan of sharp.

  6. Yum, I love meatloaf. I haven't made it in awhile and the cheese is always a plus in our household of picky eaters. Have you ever seen the infommercial for the meatloaf pan? The meat actually sits on a tray inside the pan. I saw the promo and was pretty tempted to look for reviews online ;) Thanks for the recipe!

  7. Natalie... I've never tried this with turkey, yet I assume it would be fine. I would increase the spices to add more flavor. Hope this helps! ~ Ellen

  8. Carrie... I use a meatloaf pan for this recipe. IF you look closely at the pre-cook picture, you will see the black handles stick out. I like it for most meatloafs. My pizza meatloaf recipe needs to be cooked in a regular cake-pan style dish. ~ Ellen
