Non-abridged version:

I am a Christian stay-at-home mom of 4 children.  My oldest son is 31 and is the proud father of Xander and husband to Mallorie.  My teenagers - ages 20, 20, and 18- fill my days and nights with ongoing activities.  We have home schooled for 13years and have graduated all 3!  We incorporated education in everything we do.  Being a home school family, when is there not a "teachable" moment!

Our twins, Matt and Melissa, continue to enjoy their time at Auburn University in Alabama!   They are both excited about the upcoming school year.

Our youngest just graduated high school and is currently looking for work.

My husband, Rod, is a realtor with ERA-Blue Key in Hixson, TN.  He enjoys helping others find their dream home.  He also is the Scoutmaster for our sons' Boy Scout troop.

I enjoy reading, gardening, and "computering."  I started gardening in the spring 2010, and each new season's garden teaches me more things!  This summer (2014) I am taking the gardening season off as I have NO free time to properly care for it.

As a full-time college student, my life is no longer my own.  I am carrying 18 credits per term, so I basically complete school work in my free time.  I will complete my academic courses September 2014 and graduate/walk in December 2014.  I can't wait!  This degree is 30-years in the making!

I am learning "Freezer Cooking" and have enjoyed having pre-made meals in the freezer for those crazy days.  So far the meatballs, spaghetti sauce and shredded chicken are hits.  I have added homemade lasagna and baked ziti to our freezer.  I'm so thankful we were able to purchase a stand-up freezer 2 years ago!

I enjoy reading the classics and Christian fiction.  Some of my favorite authors are Karen Kingsbury, Neta Jackson, and Elizabeth Musser.  I also grow in my Christian faith through Bible studies and conferences including Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Women of Faith.  Through the different blogging for books programs, I am reading even more authors and genres!  One of my new favorite authors is Andy Andrews.  Great fiction reads!

In my spare time, I dream of having the time to play my violin again!
