Hamburger Stroganoff

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
2 Tbs butter
2 cloves minced garlic
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 Tbs all-purpose flour
1 can beef broth
salt to taste
3 tsp paprika
dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
16 oz. sour cream
cooked noodles

Directions:
1.  Brown ground beef in butter with garlic and onion.
2.  Stir in flour until blended.
3.  Add beef broth, salt, paprika, pepper, and mushrooms.
4.  Simmer for 15 minutes.
5.  Add sour cream and heat through.  Do not allow to come to a full boil.
6.  Serve over hot noodles with a crisp, garden salad.
7.  Enjoy!

Notes: For our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers), I double this recipe... and might have left-overs!

  15. This sounds delicious and easy! I make an old family recipe for for beef stroganof that uses round steak every year for Christmas Eve. If I didn't make it I would suffer serious backlash from my entire family! I saw your recipe at This Chick Cooks.
