a drunk driver
a horrific accident
lives changed forever

Just breathe, Kacey. Ten tiny breaths. Seize them. Feel them. Love them.

Four years ago Kacey Cleary’s life imploded when her car was hit by a drunk driver, killing her parents, boyfriend, and best friend. Still haunted by memories of being trapped inside, holding her boyfriend’s lifeless hand and listening to her mother take her last breath, Kacey wants to leave her past behind. Armed with two bus tickets, twenty-year-old Kacey and her fifteen-year-old sister, Livie, escape Grand Rapids, Michigan, to start over in Miami. Struggling to make ends meet, Kacey needs to figure out how to get by. But Kacey’s not worried. She can handle anything—anything but her mysterious neighbor in apartment 1D. ~  Publisher Description

 Tragedy
is a part of life.
How we cope with it
determines our future.

Bad things happen to good people.  Yet, character is forged in the hard times.

K. A. Tucker has woven a story of family lost and family found.  Hardened by the events of her past, Kacey wants to be left alone.  Her only desire is to give her sister a normal life and hope for the future.  Can she do this without reaching out others and opening her heart?

I loved this book!  Kathleen was able to bring the character's emotions to life.  I found myself laughing out loud... my husband probably thinks I lost it!  I read this book in one sitting and was so disappointed when I turned the last page.  Thank you, Kathleen, for introducing me to a new group of "friends."  I just saw that there will be a book 2... can't wait!

My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I received an e-copy of Ten Tiny Breaths from Atria Publishing and NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Blessings,
