Spring Garden 2011

Print
Good News!  Good News!  Good News!

The window screen worked!  Mr. Squirrel did not eat any more of my seeds.  I removed the window screen because the snow peas were pushing up against it.  After I removed it, I found the green beans had burst up overnight!  Check it out...

lower right corner: beets
top left corner: snow peas
top right corner: green beans

The window screens were just the ticket to saving the seeds!

Next, with the help of my darling daughter, we completed the trellis..... tada!

If you look closely enough, you will see a tomato plant being woven into the trellis squares.

Now the question is:

Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.

Happy Gardening!

  3. Oh, I'm so jealous! My parents have a beautiful garden every year, and because I live 9 hours away, I don't get to help or eat any of the veggies. It makes me sad. Your garden looks lovely!

  10. Beautiful! I've not had much luck starting seeds directly in my garden. Because of squirrels! I start my seeds inside and transplant outside later on. Can't wait to see more pics as your garden grows.
