Ingredients:
2 lbs. boneless beef chuck or stew beef
2 cans (14.5 oz each) stewed tomatoes
2 packets (1.5 oz) beef stew seasoning (McCormicks or store brand)
3 medium potatoes, cut up
1 medium onion, cut in wedges
1 lb. baby carrots
4 stalks celery cut into 1/4 inch pieces
Directions:
1. Spray crock pot with Pam or other non-stick cooking spray.
2. Mix the stewed tomatoes and beef stew seasoning in a bowl.
3. Place vegetables in the crock pot first, followed by the meat and tomato mixture.
4. Cook covered for 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on high.
5. Enjoy!
* Note: Sometimes I will omit the potatoes and serve over cooked noodles. Great served with a crisp green salad and bread for mopping!
Blessings,
Ellen

This looks really good! Just a quick question: what kinds of spices are in the stew seasoning you used?
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy- I think I will add this to my recipes.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites for the slow cooker. This really looks good...can't wait to give it a try. I would love for you to join me for What's On the Menu Wednesday whenever you can. Thanks again for sharing.
ReplyDeleteRusso - most of my recipes are family favorites from my childhood. I'm just revamping them to work for me... like stew in the crock pot and not on the stove!
ReplyDeleteWithout Adornment - not sure what spices are in the packets. I like the spices better than when I was making this completely from scratch.. a deeper, "comfort food" flavor!
Chic Homeschool Mama - Hi! I always love findingn other homeschoolers in the 'blogosphere!'
