Faith like the widow. Luke 21

Print

Scripture:
Luke 21.1-4   1 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins. 3 And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them; 4 for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.”

Observation:
The widow has more faith in God's provisions than the rich.

Application:
God has given so much more that I can give back to Him.  Why am I fearful to gave back / tithe when our bank balance is low.  We need to believe and have faith that when we obey His commands, the Lord will provide... His name is Jehovah-Jireh!  See my post HERE from Luke 12.

Prayer:
Dear God.... Thank You for sending Your Son to be the perfect sacrifice for me.  Help me believe You and Your promises.  You will provide all we need, if only we obey You and believe.  Amen

Blessings,

     Ellen

  1. Sometimes I give without a thought. Sometimes I worry about my low bank account. Constant faith in God's richness is tricky when we aren't currently experiencing it. Loved this today, thank you.
