New blooms and the fall garden

Print
After  using some bad fertilizer/plant food, my mums have been able to rebound.  Take a look...

Fall Garden 2011

Green bell peppers are still producing!

Brussel sprouts and broccoli

Romaine, red leaf lettuce and arugula

How is your fall vegetable or flower garden growing?

Blessings,

     Ellen

  1. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Colors are wonderful. I just put out a few pansies. Opted for light blue and yellow this time...new look for me. Dusting the beds with pinestraw....just a little more to go. Trying to rake it up as it falls and buy as little as possible.

  5. Looks beautiful! I wish I could say the same for my garden. I'm afraid mine's fallen by the way-side due to injury. I'm glad that at least someone out there is enjoying a season of bounty. ;)

  6. Coming over to visit from the HHH. What gorgeous flowers! I just love fall! :-) Here in PA, our green bell peppers and eggplant are still going strong. Even though I love fall, I will miss all of the fresh veggies from our summer garden.

Hope you have a great rest of your week.
    Many blessings,
    Lisa

  11. Where do you live that you still have flowers. It's so cold here in Nebraska we are having to cover things at night now. Brrr!

I have a curriculum review and giveaway on my blog @ http://holidaygiftsandmore.blogspot.com/2011/10/nature-explorers-through-holidays.html This curriculum is for homeschools but can be used for other things too. It's all about nature in the Winter & teaches about advent too.

I'm following you now and would love a follow back when you have a moment!

  12. Tina... I live in Georgia and we just had our first "cold front" move through. On Tuesday it was 83 F and yesterday didn't see above 53 F! I'll be covering the plants for the next two nights as we will be in the 30s F.

  15. Your flowers are beautiful. I bought some Mums from Lowes and it only lasted a couple of weeks. My garden is done for the season. I scaled back my garden this year and really missed all the veggies. Next year I'll go back to having a larger garden.
